Mission Statement of Branson Veterans of America 913 is to sustain our history of service to our community, all veterans, and their families.
History:
Our chapter was initially a local chapter [913] of the national Vietnam Veterans of America. When it became apparent that the attrition of Vietnam veterans would eventually lead to a diminishing number of members, we decided, as many other chapters in the United States, to break ranks and become a more inclusive organization that would bring in younger military veterans into our membership along with their spouses (and families) so we could continue our mission of serving our community, for years to come.
Funding:
Branson Veterans of America 913 relies totally on private contributions for its revenue. We do not receive any funding from federal, state, or local governments.
What BVA 913 Does:
BVA 913 serves our community by helping veterans and their families if they are in need. BVA 913 hosts annual Memorial Day Services, provides College Scholarships to deserving students, manages the annual Branson Veterans Parade, and provides Color Guard & Honor Guard services when needed for funerals and special occasions. BVA 913 has several fun events throughout the year such as Trout Tournaments, 5K/ 10K Run-For-a-Vet, and Christmas parties, just to name a few.
